When ground was broken on First & Royal, an 1890 Victorian home designed by architect Samuel Maclure was still standing on the site. Rather than demolish it, the team moved it 65 feet south along the same street.
Decades of stucco were stripped away to reveal the original wood gables and leaded glass, restored to how Maclure designed them — and it now anchors the plaza residents pass through every day.
